This event offered a powerful and enriching experience for all participants, centered around the sacred theme of Ephesians 6:1-4.
The activities were designed to strengthen the divine connection between the church, parents, and children, promoting the vital importance of Sunday school, garnering support for church initiatives, and uplifting both Sunday school teachers and children in their spiritual journeys. The Game Zone buzzed with energy as children and teenagers engaged in ball games and team-building exercises, fostering camaraderie and interaction rooted in Christian fellowship. The Food Zone offered traditional Ethiopian fare, including agelegel and soft drinks, encouraging fellowship among attendees and nourishing both body and spirit.
The program began with a heartfelt prayer led by Teacher Teka, setting a spiritual tone for the day. Following this, teachers discussed core issues related to Sunday school and child development, demonstrating their commitment to continuous improvement in nurturing the next generation in faith.
On that day, the Sunday school introduced to the parents and the church the new class arrangements for age groups and the new curriculum, which the teachers had been diligently working on throughout the entire summer. Before this event, teachers frequently engaged in prayerful discussions and participated in training workshops related to the curriculum, evaluating the lessons and materials with a focus on spiritual growth. This addition provides a clearer context for the changes and highlights the dedicated efforts made by the teachers.
